What is Thought Field Therapy?
Thought Field Therapy (TFT) is an emotional healing therapy developed over 30 years ago by Dr Roger Callahan, a leading American clinical research psychologist.
He took the principles of meridians, or energy pathways, similar to the theory of acupuncture, and developed a system of techniques for the treatment of emotional problems.
TFT can help eliminate anxiety, fears, phobias, stress, feelings of guilt, rage, anger, depression, trauma, grief, obsession and helps overcome physical addictions and withdrawal symptoms.
By directly addressing the energy flows established by their thoughts, clients are able to end long-standing, over-whelming, negative effects in the mind and body.
By tapping on various points of the meridians (energy pathways) in specific sequences, the disturbed patterns change and the discomfort or pain is reversed. The response is usually felt immediately. Unlike other forms of cognitive therapy, the client does not have to “relive” the experience.
Personal values or beliefs are not challenged and because this is not a “talking” therapy, the client only reveals whatever he/she wants. TFT has been successful for thousands of people without negative side effects.
